Plus not a nice thing to do to a dog unless its small and can travel in the cabin.

My parents will be visiting new york next year and wanted to bring our dog with them but not sure if they can take her back. If you have any details on this would be very helpful

You can bring a dog in if you are not an Indian national. However, you have to prove you have been out of the country for two years and are relocating, or as they put it ‘transferring residence” to india

Aqcs is trying to simplify so that people don’t have to pay. I deal with them regularly now, taking my dog out n back in twice a year

Have you tried on one of the ones on these pages … I know I need to make a list of agents on one single page dont I!

Cant even imagine having a pet parrot in India and the drama of trying to get food for it. Dont see many parrots in per stores or the horrible pet markets.

Comment on We got our No Objection Certificates NOC for our animals today! by Lori http://www.chrisandcin.com/we-got-to-no-objection-certificates-noc-for-our-animals-today/comment-page-6/#comment-100352 Thu, 14 Sep 2017 02:17:53 +0000 http://www.chrisandcin.com/?p=32#comment-100352 Hi Savita,

I’m at the beginning of the process to get a DGFT license for my pet parrot. I was told I would also need a DGFT license for him but was wondering if you could let us know how you got your DGFT license. I was also told that it must be filed online and I tried to do a search on my own, without any luck. Did you hire a third party to do this? If yes, which company?

As for the quarantine issue, through all my research, I only saw that animals other than dogs and cats needed to be quarantined so it’s strange that you need to have your dogs quarantined for 15 days. I get the feeling that all of these inquiries are on a case by case basis.

We’ve been in contact with our Embassy who is also having trouble getting information from DGFT/AQCS. They keep telling us we need to apply for the DGFT license online but no one can tell us how. The online DGFT page is quite a mess and there is no clear way of knowing which form is the correct form for the DGFT license application.

Does anyone here had any success or more information on how to get a DGFT license? By the way, I know there is a fee but just want to put it out there that the $6000 fee is usually the fee a broker will charge to do this for you, and not the fee of the license application itself.

There’s a lot of misinformation on the internet as the policies are really unclear… Any help we can get would be really appreciated!
