This Diwali like all festivals always has people doing stupid things. And to show you how stupid people are here they are lighting skyrockets in between 3 apartment buildings! I do love the way they light the cracker with their head over the skyrocket.. 
Should all the people in wheelchairs really somehow get themselves to the 8th floor to be rescued in case of fire or something ?
So strange…. 
Only in India would you see the local government build fountains out of cement on the side of the road to help commemorate the renaming of a town (renamed after a dead politician of course!)… and then to power the fountains they hire truck top generators to power them all night and day… what a waste of money. In a 10 km stretch of this road there must be at least 10 of these, and they have been there for the last week powering the fountains.
This was at the restaurant yesterday in kolkata where we had lunch. After the last roti was removed, it undercovered the basket it was sitting in… nice and hygenic!!

Only in India would you see this, this was this morning. There were some kids taking the cardboard out of the trash bins at the shopping mall across the road , they werent hurting anyone, just taking stuff to make money with. But this guard was hell bent on getting rid of them. Take a look…
This guard hits the kid with the stick in the stomach….
The kid then tries running but the guard has him by the neck…
The kid gets away for a bit but is then dragged back and put on the ground, a more senior looking guard runs over and releases the kid… but doesnt do anything to the guy who is beating the kids….
